IT Infrastructure Library is a framework that describes the best practise in the field of IT service management. The strong side of ITIL are mainly the descriptions of 27 processes, such as Change management, Configuration management, Service level management, Capacity management including KPI Furthermore, ITIL describes important concepts in IT, the connection of bussines and IT, the creation of value through IT services, the balance in IT and other concepts. The weaker part are the roles, that are described in view of the IT service processes and do not provide a comprehensive view of IT.
