For Škoda Auto, we methodologically led a critical GDPR implementation program. Our project managers coordinated dozens of streams across the entire organization, from IT to the legal department. We ensured compliance with legislation in an extremely complex environment while maintaining the continuity of all business processes.

About Škoda Auto a.s.

In 2017, Škoda Auto a.s. faced the task of implementing regulations governing the management of personal data, known as GDPR. For this purpose, a project was launched that addressed data management issues across the entire company and introduced a central system (GDM) for managing data subject to GDPR, regardless of which information system or company department they originated in. The task of the project was to implement tools and processes that would ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and streamline data handling.

What challenges did we help the client solve?

  • Projectman assembled a team of three project managers with experience in extensive integration and regulatory projects.
  • Within the project, we ensured project governance, coordinated streams of implementation projects, and monitored scope compliance and the fulfillment of requirements.
  • Two of our project managers were each responsible for their own stream of IT integrations for individual applications.
  • Thanks to managing GDPR implementation projects for other clients, we were also able to offer the sharing of know-how and best practices with other project managers within Projectman.
