Interim Head of Business Applications (ERP) Center of Excellence (Microsoft Dynamics 365)

Our Client, a large multinational Energy group with around 4,000 employees and more than 60 companies in over 12 markets, is currently  seeking an experienced interim leader to take over the Microsoft Dynamics ERP Center of Excellence.

The mission is to unify the ERP landscape on Microsoft Dynamics 365, stabilize and run the CoE, ensure reliable delivery to the business, and then help shape its long-term vision and roadmap as demand for CoE services grows across the group.

What you will do

• Lead the ERP CoE team of 15+ people and external partners, and secure stable day-to-day delivery.
• Establish and maintain governance: standards, prioritisation of change requests, release and change management.
• Act as the main link between CoE, IT and the business units; manage expectations of senior stakeholders.
• Manage CoE budget, people, vendors and implementation partners.
• Prepare a clear CoE vision, operating model and roadmap together with CIO / CEO.
• Hand over a well-documented, stable setup to the permanent successor or team.

What we expect

• Proven experience leading an ERP or enterprise-applications CoE or a comparable central function with impact across the whole organisation.
• Track record with multi-entity or multi-country environments, ideally after acquisitions or during ERP consolidation.
• Strong stakeholder management up to C-level and the ability to earn trust quickly as an interim.
• Experience with governance, demand management and vendor management.
• Working knowledge of ERP platforms; Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance and Supply Chain) is a strong advantage, not a hard requirement.
• Fluent English, German is an advantage
• Ability to travel within Europe (2-3 times per month)
