IT Operations & Infrastructure Engineer
We are seeking an IT/OT professional to join projectman in delivering large-scale global connectivity and retrofit initiative in a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The mission focuses on bridging operational technology (OT) equipment with enterprise IT networks while maintaining strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), GxP regulations, and global cybersecurity policies.
The key deliverables are system configuration, IT risk assessments, technical documentation, endpoint setup, and active cross-functional coordination (IT, OT, cybersecurity, site owners, and vendors).
Key Responsibilities
- IT Risk Assessments & Compliance: Evaluate operational equipment against corporate IT security standards, perform technical risk assessments, and drive mitigation actions.
- System & Endpoint Configuration: Configure industrial PCs (IPCs), workstations, and endpoint infrastructure (OS baseline, hardening, patching, antivirus, local user accounts, and monitoring agents).
- Network & Connectivity Support: Support setup and validation of managed switches, VLAN assignments, subnet configurations, and firewall rule requests; troubleshoot connectivity issues.
- Lifecycle Technical Documentation: Author, review, and maintain mandatory technical and GxP documentation (IT Risk Assessments, Design/Functional Specifications, IT Configuration Specs, Interface Agreements, and O&M Manuals).
- ServiceNow & Access Management: Request, coordinate, and track technical accesses, firewall updates, and infrastructure changes via ServiceNow ticketing workflows.
- Testing & Handover: Support pre-testing, IQ/OQ execution, connectivity validation, and formal project handover activities.
Requirement:
- Experience: 3–5+ years of practical experience in IT/OT infrastructure, systems engineering, or network administration.
- Core Technical Skills: Solid understanding of industrial networking (VLANs, managed switches, IP routing, firewalls) and PC/endpoint configuration.
- Documentation & Rigor: Strong capability in technical writing, structured document management, and process-driven workflows.
- Security & Compliance: Familiarity with system hardening, access management, backup setup, patching, and cybersecurity baselines.
- Languages:
- English: Professional written and spoken fluency (mandatory for global documentation and vendor communication).
- Czech / Slovak: Fluent spoken capability (essential for daily communication with local plant operators and site stakeholders).
Nice-to-Have:
- Direct background in Pharma, Biotech, GMP, GxP, or other regulated industries.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks: GAMP 5, 21 CFR Part 11 etc.
